Healing Life's Broken Dreams

It was a day much like any other; work,
meals, workout, commute, and a relaxing
evening at home. But a terrible sequence of
events would find single mother and first-time
author Patricia Forbes waiting for her
only son Louis to cross the street so she
could give him a ride home at the end of
that fateful day.

Nothing could prepare her for what
happened next; a tragic accident in which
Louis was struck by a car and thrown onto
her hood. In a scene as ironic as it was
dreadful, Patricia had just seen her only
son literally struck down in the prime of
his life.

After her son’s death Patricia would enter a
five-year spiral of depression, pain, and
anguish, one which resulted in her own
suicide attempt before a miraculous gift
from Louis would bring her back into the
world of the living once again.
